Registered, (2006-2009) "Candy" comes from generations of selective breeding for quality and chocolate and tan color breeding and began the "Car-Rae show me" attitude At 10 1/2 years of age, "Candy" became a registered therapy dog and enjoyed listening to children read as part of my school's Woof n' Tales program. She was retired from therapy sessions in 2009 at the age of 12 1/2. |
| In early 2009, I decided to refrain from breeding Dachshunds. I enjoy my farm with Candy, the matriarch of Car-Rae and who gives the "Berners" her "here I am" attitude each and every day even at the age of 13. She is loved very much and a remembrance to me of my many successes with dachshunds for the 20 years that I have bred them. Thank you to everyone who has befriended me with my dachshunds and who cheered on the Mini's who could "out run" the Standards in the show ring any day. A Car-Rae Dachshund was spirited, had a "here I am" attitude and beautiful, free-flowing gait in the show ring. They were mostly, chocolate & tans or dapples. My appreciation to all who admired my little guys and gals. |
